Mark Tarver Real Estate Agent with Aufbau in New York City

I was born early May, 1970 in New York City at Roosevelt Hospital, the sixth of seven children (three boys and four girls). We lived in a Prewar on 97th street and Park Avenue. New York was a bit different back then in the sense that you could raise a family of seven on a doctor’s income. My mother, a German immigrant from Lithuania met my Father, (A product of the great American melting pot, I wish I could tell you what melted but it would change every time I asked, was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and insisted on being buried with his comrades in a military-styled funeral. Though most of my siblings now live abroad, we all get together at least once a year in celebration of friends and family. Though the cityscape is an ever changing canvas and most if not all my favorite nooks and crannies are gone, they get to live on through our stories.

Today I still reside in New York, husband to Lisa Vincenti (Former Editor in Chief, Shelter Magazine) with whom I fathered two sons Logan and Gavin. I consider myself an avid pupil of good design esthetic and sound construction principle’s I have over 18 years of experience in the construction field from the ground up, My philosophy and approach to building and construction are unique in a sense that it’s never business as usual, each project presents their own specific design and execution challenge.Certain projects call for a certain subcontractor base, That subcontractor base should be project specific.

I approach my work from the perspective of an active and enthusiastic participant. Of course I want to make money, I want my company to make money, I’m not a communist, but with capitalism, comes great responsibility. My bottom line entails a bit more then the dollars and cents of a thing. When it all ends I’d like to look back on a life of excellence, always giving my all and always bringing out the best in my peers and associates. I’d like to walk by the notable construction projects and know I played a part in them. I’d like to know that despite not getting the opportunity to build them all I at least viewed the plans and despite our somewhat limited zoning and building codes, it’s still people out their pushing the boundaries and creating good architecture and design, more importantly good fabrication and execution that enhance our outlook on life and makes us feel proud to build such things.
