About

In the late 1800's the marshlands on the southwest edge of Brooklyn were developed and named, by contest, Brighton Beach, after the seaside resort town in England. The neighborhood has housed great theater and music, graced movie sets, and inspired stories and plays. It's making another comeback. The beach bungalows of our ancestors are now luxury condos overlooking the ocean.
