The Mission of P.S. 149 is to foster and maintain a positive and structured learning environment where children, teachers and parents are participants in the total learning process. Our students are challenged to achieve personal growth and success through standard instruction in all curriculum areas. At P.S. 149, we continuously foster the development of each student’s positive self-image while we encourage and develop their love of learning in a collaborative, supportive atmosphere. Our motto “Excellence is a must…Failure is not an option” demands “Accountability” as educators to our students, our parents and to ourselves, “Equity” for each and every student in our building and “Excellence” given by all teachers and staff and supported and expected from all students.
