We envision The Windsor School to be a community that is dedicated to advancing the mind, body and spirit of every child. We believe that children learn at different rates and in different styles. We strive to reach each individual child. We believe that if children are to succeed we must teach mastery of the basic skills taught not in isolation but in integration with one another. We want to place a strong emphasis on reading, writing, the mastery of computational and problem solving skills. We want to teach children the means necessary to become independent learners. We encourage individual expression in art and in other areas of creativity. We wish to develop a sense of community whereby we respect one another as individuals, tolerate and appreciate our differences. Our staff is also viewed as a community of learners. We learn from collaborating with each other, sharing ideas and striving to improve our teaching.
