Our mission at P.S. 161 is to foster in all of our students the skills that assist them to become independent thinkers, problem-solvers and lifelong learners. We provide an environment where children are an integral part of a community and hold themselves and each other to the highest standards of performance. The close-knit atmosphere permits each child, parent, and staff member to feel safe, recognized, and respected.
