PS 18, building on a tradition of excellence for over one hundred years, commits its pupils, school staff, and parents to the development of the full potential of every individual. Given the proper conditions, all children are capable of learning. We believe all students can realize their academic and social potential by providing them with a safe and orderly environment in which each child is respected and encouraged. We want to create an atmosphere of learning that celebrates the multicultural environment of our school and neighborhood, and which emphasizes community service and active parental involvement. We will accomplish this by fostering a home-school partnership.
