Watch out!!! Battery Park City is sitting on top of landfill. It could be eroding as much as 7 inches per month. Soon both the landfill and buildings will be dissolved into Hudson.

Where do you get erosion figures from? Battery Park City is not the only area of the city that is on landfill!

Inoeverything could be right. Rental prices are going down in the last 6 month. Look at the graphics! Something is wrong in BPC.

Hi I lived at 300 Rector for 6 years, sold my place in August and moved to the UWS. Its a really nice place to live, friendly staff (not the hardest working bunch, but nice guys) they just redid the gym (small but nice) its a very pleasant place to live. The sinking thing is ridiculous btw! The only thing you should pay attention to is that the CC/RE Taxes (known in BPC as PILOT are high and all the buildings are being reassesed in 2012) I had an apt in the building that was small, 565 sf and the monthly charges were $1280! Hope that helps

Btw sold the apt for $465k I bought it in 2004 for $325K
