Discussion about
Is this common? I would understand if the seller's broker wanted to see something before accepting the offer, or even prior to signing the contract. But after we've already submitted a board package? Anyone ever encounter this?

That indeed does sound strange.

Your lawyer (not broker) should request exactly why this is needed.

Sounds like there's some concern about your package and the agent is either a) pre-emptively trying to address the issue or b) responding to a board member's particular concern.

Obviously, you need to protect your interests as you see fit, but I would say as a matter of politics I would NOT bring an attorney in at this point. Your best play is to smile and provide the information requested.

Thanks for the responses. I told my broker to give the seller's broker a redacted (account #s and SSN) version to "play nice" for the remainer of the process. Board package was delivered this morning, so would be surpised if a board member already went through it and had questions.
