Discussion about 301 East 79th Street #5A
This listing seems very reasonably priced given the neighborhood, building, condo, floor plan etc. Any insights?

I agree. There are clearly sacrifices that are being made here (the neighborhood, while good, is far from ideal and very far east; the floor plan, while nice, is not a true 3 bedroom - they clearly converted the dining space into a 3rd bedroom that can only be accessed through the kitchen and has no closets; the condition is in need of a bit upgrading - what's with the floors, and those mirrors in the master bedroom - yikes) but I still think it seems well priced for what you're getting.

This hit my radar too. Haven't seen the apartment, but like everything in the listing, and the price seems ok. If we weren't worried about outgrowing it, would have taken a look and perhaps seriously considered it.

Also, for something similar, take a look at http://www.streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/196804-coop-200-east-78th-street-upper-east-side-manhattan

It will need more work, but is $175K less, and check out that terrace.

Thanks. Funny, I had the 200E78 in my saved list as well. It's definitely worth checking out I say.

Please let the group know what you think if you see either, on this thread, open house thread, or wherever. Thanks.
