I normally don't pay attention to this stuff but I was reading Time Out New York and saw their feature on "New York's New Construction Boom". Some of these new buildings are amazing, but this much talked about "Star Tower" looks amazing in this article. I love the glass facade PLUS a roof deck and pool? TONY usually doesn't run fluff pieces so this building has me really excited. Anybody else read this article yet?
I am not a broker in the least. I am a young guy looking to purchase something that in a few years will look like a good investment. This area of LIC is right near the bridge and very close to the city. I read somewhere else that Tishman is building directly next to them so I anticipate this area really being something pretty great shortly.
What's up with this story in today's amNY: "Naueating odor lingering in LIC"?
Is LIC's condo market decaying so fast that it's making people sick? Or is it just the usual toxic waste percolating up from the brownfields there? It's a pity either way. Don't know about the deep soaking tubs.
I noticed the prices have increased two days ago. This seems strange if so many other places are dropping their prices. Isn't this strange or is it just me?

A shilling broker today feels as out of time as Austin Powers flashing the peace sign in a modern bar.
broker shill much?
Star Tower will look especially amazing in 1 yr by which time its asking prices will have fallen subtanially.
Goodness Houdini, now's not the time to be pulling that rabbit out of your a-- trick
Read a newspaper, there is nothing to get excited about for a while.

Do they have those deep soaking tubs at Star Tower?

..."will look like a good investment. This area of LIC is right near the bridge"...
These lines do not belong in the same paragraph.
Soaking tubs b/c if you buy there now you are going to take a bath big time
that's so deep!
like the tub
well, you have to give the kid some credit for trying...
If they can't sell these apartments now, they're in for some pain trying to unload new condos in LIC in 2009...
Is their anyone out there that bought in Star Tower? If so what do you think?

Which other places have dropped prices recently? I've heard that Star Tower has had good sales.
