All the NYC newspapers I saw today (i read 4) had articles about NYers changing the way they eat/dine due to the economic crisis including wall streeters not ordering appetizers and wine w/ dinner.
Hard to imagine people are going to change their eating habits due to the economy but keep on paying crazy per sq ft prices for NYC real estate.
When's the last time you saw articles in the newspapers like that?
I think they pre-write articles like that, and then keep them around for years until they need them, do some quick interviews to fill in the gaps, and print them up. Non-paid obits work the same way.
