Got this from my streeteasy apt email. rockrose just significantly dropped prices on numerous apartments at its Chelsea centro building. a 1 bedroom was listed in September at $3495. 2 minor price reductions over the next 2 months and now a massive $385 down to $3000. the 2 bedroom was just cut $660 and is down $1000 since being listed in late august.
Still plenty of room to fall, because there's plenty of competition:

Unlike otehr landlords in Chelsea, Rockrose refuses to re-negotiate leases or give concessions to current tenants. They are real pigs. Rockrose deserves to get slaughtered.

let me know when Glenwood gets on board. Their prices are still out of control...BUT listings are up. I guess it's just a matter of time now.
bguy - are they cutting only for vacancies or are they also adjusting downwards for current lease renewals?

No, Rockrose will advertise 1 bedrooms as "two." You need to check on the Rockrose site itself and see how many BATHROOMS it has.
