Discussion about
Is there anyone considering moving to Texas?
The entire city of Chicago, for one.
George & Laura Bush.
spunky.
I have a friend who transferred to Austin and loved it...but after two years came back.
Jessica Simpson
Derek Jeter is considering Texas. Not because he wants to live there, but just to avoid paying NY state income tax.
It is a lot like Chicago... its the fattest state in the country.
Although I have no interest in living there, I have several friends who moved to Dallas from NYC and absolutely love it.
The state and city tax is really driving a lot of talented people away from the city. It's quite unfortunate.
a lot of what is going on in Manhattan is driving people away.
In most parts of Texas, you can buy a 4,000 + square foot McMansion for the price of a stuio apartment in Manhattan.
I had to live in Dallas for 6 months for work about 10 years back.
Absolutely hated it. 0 culture.
Austin was better.

And you can get even better deals in Cambodia.
Its called "demand".
It's also due to the fact that Texas is not a tiny island with very little land.
Love the comments you guys. If any of you have any clients coming my way in Texas email me. Mrnicholas251@yahoo.com
I'd like to go back in 10 years. I think my hubby is on board with that too. We have rental property in San Antonio that I hope to turn into primary residence.
