Buy into this place now and watch as your investment drops 40% in value before you ever move in! I live across the street and from the looks of construction progress, they won't be ready for occupancy for another 6-8 months. And by the way, it's already 40% overpriced based on the rapidly dropping Park Slope market.

Here's the pricing link:

http://www.betancourtrealestate.com/index.cfm?page=developments&state=viewBuilding&id=911

It looks like they want about $1150 per sf -- pretty high for Park Slope.

It's funny because this ugly building is about as far removed from what you think of as Park Slope style as you could imagine -- there's nothing brownstone-y or neighborhood-y about it. Yuck.

PS Lifer -- what are you seeing in the Slope that makes you think the prices there are rapidly dropping? I am following the listings and do see some declines but maybe not dramatic ones yet. Pls post interesting examples if you have some.

thanks.

Overpriced but not an eyesore like the 4th ave places. Certainly prices will come down, as current listings are at high peak manhattan levels. I would be shocked if they sold at current prices.

12.5 % down. They have not sold a single unit as of now!
