Discussion about
No matter how many times I say that I owned in Manhattan for 13 years and that I CURRENTLY live in Hell's Kitchen, I keep getting the following ignorant comments: Alpine can't afford to buy in Manahttan Alpine lives in Jersey Seriously, does anyone here have any level of reading comprehension, or do you forget things 2 minutes after being told something?
No, most can reed, righnt and do rithmatic. They just think you're an idiot and lie.
I'm not familiar with NJ towns and neighborhoods.
Does West New York, NJ have a Hell's Kitchen also?
Alpie lives in NJ.
Alpie can't afford to buy in Manhattan.
Most people here are so dumb it isn't funny. I have said in the past that I owned in co-op village on the LES for 13 years. Now why the hell would I lie about living on the LES??? How does that benefit me? Most people who lie LIE about NOT living on the LES. Seriously, I have never seen so many dumb people concentrated in one place.
You lived in Coop Village? What exit is that?
Well, then, Alpine, why do you hang out here? It's not like posting about how the people you can't stay away from are dumb proves much of anything. Go find a more amenable New Jersey real estate board or something.
You can SEE us?
That explains a lot.
and I sold my LES apt. to Richard Fortus. Go knock on his apartment if you don't believe me. Heck, even the NY Times know I owned on the LES as they wrote an article about Fortus and the apt. after I sold it to him. They even included a picture of the green formica counter tops I bought from Sears.
The peopele on the NJ RE blogs are even dumber. Some are flat out violent and make me want to buy a gun in case I get an unwelcome visit.
Jersey sucks. You suck.
how could you have owned on the LES for 13 years and Hell's Kitchen for 13 years. That would make you seriously old and I don't know anyone over 45 that blogs
Identity theft is not something you should advertise
Now you're raising the insult bar ... I don't think I can compete with such gems as "the green formica counter tops I bought from Sears"
I never said I owned in Hell's Kitchen for 13 years. I have never owned in Hells Kitchen. I would never buy here.
lr10021: easy with the age comments, AR and P09 are older than that
alpine, who cares?
alpine292, only you would start a post on a RE website about how people aren't fair to you and can't believe a word that dribbles out of your mouth. Man, either you have nobody else to talk to but some random guys/gals on a blog (me included), you have other people to talk to, but they could care less about what you have to say, or you're just a straight jerk off. Either one of those options is plausible, but i think the last two just mesh together real nicey nice..
ARE STREET EASY POSTERS RETARDED, IDIOTS, OR BOTH?
all 3 & proud of it.
well, if I don't have anyone to talk to, neither does stevejhx and nyc10022 as they have been here longer than me.
alpine292, but they don't cry like you do (i.e. create a discussion about how mean we are). Man up for Christ sake and move on.
I don't see what the fuss is about, there is no way you could afford to live in Manhattan if you worked at Sears. Are you the photo guy with the yellow bunny or a toilet pusher?
JM - did you know that Alpie lives in New Jersey?
AlpineNJ: You lived in projects-like Coop Village, on the FDR Drive and a bus ride away from the subway, but you go on and on about ST/PCV like this?:
"Speak for yourself. There is no way I would live in Stuy Town. I DESPISE the location. I can think of a lot better places to live close to than the FDR Drive and Alaphebet City."
"I remember the first time I saw Stuy Town when my father as a kid took me to the annual flee market they used to have. I think I asked him if the buidling was a housing project."
"Even for young people there are better palces to live, especially since Stuy Town only has access to a single train line. You literally can't go anywhere without transferring trains since the L is essentially a Brooklyn train line."
"Maybe you Stuy Town residents should move to NJ."
"This thread is supposed to be about SHIT IN THE HALLWAY at Stuvyestant, ok? So please stay on topic and refrain from talking about anything that does not invovle SHIT IN THE HALLWAY at Stuvyestant!"
"and I hope you get bitten by a rat in the subway."
All from http://www.streeteasy.com/nyc/talk/discussion/11779-do-people-really-poop-in-the-hallways-at-stuvyestant
I did not live on the FDR Drive. I lived in Seward, not East River. Seward is half a block from the subway. No bus required.
Wait, I read the thing on Richard Fortus. He bought in co-op village like 5 years ago
If you owned for 13 years, so you bought almost 20 years ago, you bought the thing before they capped prices. So you paid, what, $5k? Or did you inherit it from your grandma?
So, back to what I said... you can't afford Manhattan...
and in co-op village, nobody ever pooped in the hallway and late night partying colege students were very rare, so let's not comapare it to Stuy Town.
alanhart - nice one!
And yeah, it's one thing to own green formica counter tops and quite another to tell people that you own green formica counter tops. You know that button inside your head that prevents people from saying stupid things....
I paid $840k for my NJ house. Do you seriosuly think that someone who can pay $840k cannot afford Manhattan, or are you even dumber than I thought you were?
waverly, did you know that alpine wants to move to Manhattan and become a formica salesman in the LES?
no, crack dealer you fool.
alpine, do you poop in the hallway of your $840k house? I think I read somewhere that people from NJ poop in their hallways.
what's wrong with talking about the green formica counters I used to own? It's not my apt. anymore. And they are no longer my counters.
yes, I stand at the top of my 2 story entry foyer and I take a dump.
no wonder you can't sell.
I'm being sarcastic. I'm trying to fight ignorance with ignorance.
I pooped in my elevator once. It was terrible, rushing home from central park and was almost to my floor and my sphincter failed. Thank god no one was in the elevator with me. Can you imagine being known in your building as the guy that shit in the elevator?
cold this be alpine
could explain where he got the dough to buy the split-level in Alpine after the estate on the LES.

JM - Yeah, they'd call you alpine, for sure.
i wouldn't mind shitting in alpie's foyer, except that i'd have to go to Jersey to do so. nothing is worth that.
i think it's shat JM. always good to keep up standards.
green formica countertops AND he bought a Plymouth PT Cruiser! (oh, and he lives in jersey)
(btw - I am only retarded in 18 states...but an idiot in all the rest.
no, I have a Honda minivan!
how spacious, a minivan. do you poop there too? perhaps your minivan is parked down by the river?
These threads are not really my cup of tea but, I'm weighting in.
All families have an unusually special cousin or uncle etc.
During family get togethers before the evening ends there's that relative that says just the wrong thing to just the wrong person in just the wrong tone at just the right time and the feathers fly!
Doesn't mean you still don't love them.
alpo292,
This thread should be deleted.
Minivan ... so you're a Bergen County soccer mom?
Alpine is collected food stamp, living in NJ...
"and in co-op village, nobody ever pooped in the hallway and late night partying colege students were very rare, so let's not comapare it to Stuy Town. "
Yes, its worse. Geriatric, and far less income. Those apartments sold for $2k!
Sorry, Alpine, you still can't afford manhattan.
Most of the people who paid $2k are dead or innursing homes. The current residents paid full market value, so they are not low income.
Bzzzzzzzzzz wrong.
If the current residents had paid full market value, there wouldn't be a 10-year waitlist for parking. "Fair" would mean market-optimized pricing.
Alpine doesn't pump gas, he pumps fists.
what the heck does the parking lot have to do with the apt. prices? They are completely unrealted, as the parking garage at Seward is not even run by the board. They rent it out to a contractor who sets the prices.
I think it is spelled Sewer, not Seward.
ha ha that's so funny I forgot to laugh.
This is the funniest post ever. Kudos to all who posted including Alpine. Was on the floor laughing.
Were you rolling? Did your ass fall off?
